Publishing Research
A paper on ChipAI.dev has two parts:
- Metadata — title, authors, abstract, category, tags (shown on cards and the detail page)
- The paper itself — either a link (arXiv / direct PDF) or a file you upload (PDF or TXT, stored in object storage)
Before you start
- You need to be signed in with at least the contributor role. If you see a role error, request the contributor role from your profile.
- Pick a slug ahead of time — it's used in the URL (
/research/<slug>).
1. Start a paper
Open Publish a paper on the Research page (or Create → Research from the profile menu), then fill in:
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Title | ✓ | e.g. Fair Tokenization for 22 Indian Languages. |
| Slug | — | Lowercase, URL-safe. Auto-derived from the title; editable. |
| Authors | — | Comma-separated, e.g. Rao, Iyer, Banerjee et al.. |
| Abstract | — | Shown on cards and at the top of the detail page. |
| Category | — | Generative AI, LLMs, Computer Vision, Robotics, Space AI, Healthcare AI, Edge AI, Cybersecurity AI, or Other. |
| Tags | — | Comma-separated. |
You can publish on behalf of an organization you belong to — pick it in the form to namespace the paper under the org.
2. Add the paper source
Choose one of two sources:
- PDF / arXiv URL — paste a link (e.g.
https://arxiv.org/abs/...). Direct.pdf/.txtlinks render inline; other pages (like an arXiv abstract page) show an Open in new tab card. - Upload PDF or TXT — drag-and-drop or pick a
.pdf/.txtfile. It streams into object storage atresearch/<slug>/<filename>and is served back through a stableresolveURL, so it reads inline.
3. Pending review
New papers are created with pending status and reviewed by a moderator before they appear in public listings. You can still see and edit yours from the My Papers strip on the Research page and from your profile while it's pending.
Editing & deleting
Owners (and moderators) can edit the metadata and replace the source from the paper page. Deleting the paper removes its listing; uploaded files in storage are cleaned up separately if needed.
Programmatic upload
If you created a paper for an upload source, you can stream the file straight in:
# $API = https://api.chaimind.in (or your local backend)
curl -X PUT \
-H "Authorization: Bearer <token>" \
--data-binary @paper.pdf \
"$API/api/v1/research/<slug>/files/paper.pdf"
